Overview
At Turkish Country School, we equip students with essential digital skills to confidently navigate today’s technology-driven world. From Playgroup to Grade 5, our Computer Learning Program introduces students to computers, software, and digital tools in an engaging and age-appropriate way, building a strong foundation for future learning.
Students begin with basic computer operations, including using keyboards, mice, and core software applications. They quickly learn Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, helping them complete academic projects efficiently while preparing for real-world tasks. Early lessons also include digital storytelling, graphic design, internet research, and cyber safety, ensuring students use technology responsibly.
As they progress, children explore block coding with Scratch and code.org, moving on to Python programming, simple game development, and basic web design. Hands-on experience with robotics kits and AI simulations makes learning practical, fun, and interactive. Cross-curricular projects allow students to apply technology across subjects, like creating science fair presentations or designing classroom newsletters, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
